Stolen credentials are stolen usernames and passwords that criminals have usually stolen by breaching another company and then trying to use those usernames and passwords to get into your hosted email and other sensitive data. If the username and password that your employees are using for these other applications match the username and password for your email and so on, they will be able to get in and get right past any monitoring that you have.

So what can you do about it? One is to have a team that has your back and helps look for odd behaviors.
